IE Business School (Spain) Team
On March 3rd to 7th, we participated in the Global Network Week in IE Business School, Spain. There are six students from our school: Qing Sun, Yu Li, Jingying Cao, Yi Shi, Zuowei Zhang and Hanshu Xia. The topic in IE is “Europe at a crossroads: coping with the crisis and deriving implications for the world”. In this program, IE provided a number of lectures analyzing the economical situation from different levels: world’s economy, Europe’s economy and Spain’s economy; professors also reinterpreted the Euro Crisis and its impact until now from Spain’s point of view. At the end of this week, students were asked to make presentation about topics such as “challenges for euro zone” or “solutions for euro zone”. Besides, we also had an opportunity of company visit to Wayra, a program of startups supported by Telefonica, one of the largest Spanish companies, as well as its fascinating foundation – a museum about science and technology progress. IE Business School also hosted a few gatherings for international students to know more about each other, IE school and Madrid and each other; we had city tour around Madrid, a cocktail with IE alumni, etc. From this intense program, we’ve refreshed our understandings about Spain and its economical situation.

Technion-Israel Insititute of Technology (Israel) Team
We are very lucky to take part in GNW program and studied one week at Israel Technion College with the classmates from 7 countries,8 Universities. There are 45 students and three of them are from FUDAN, Lianli he, Xinhai Xia and Zijian Xu. The major of this course is start-up. And Israel is also famous for Start-up Nation. Although it was only one week study, we harvest and enjoy a lot at the reasonable arrangement from Technion.
On the first day, Prof. Erez, Technion MBA program director introduced passionately Israel’s start-up culture which inspired our Chinese student. After the course we have discuss a lot with the different start-up culture between China and Israel.
With only one week to study, the course is intensive, from 9 in morning and 8 at night. The professors shared us the new researches on Start-up Company and also gave us many cases to study and discuss in the class. For each course we can also learn a lot from the classmates with different culture. There was a team project to analysis two merger cases happened in Israel. Also the time is short, each team treated seriously and all had a wonderful speech.
After one week study, all students had one common feeling that It's a worthwhile trip .We get not only knowledge but friendship. We are happy to have the opportunity to represent Fudan to take part in this programme. We are also happy to share Chinese current business situation with foreign friends.
Here we want to extend thanks to Technion teachers, thanks to their careful arrangement. We can successfully have the wonderful study and visit both the Start-up Company and places of interests. The program is perfect.

“The arrangement goes so well. We have a lot to see within the limited time. I can feel that Yoshinori wants to show us a little bit more. That's what I really want to do so.
What didn't go so well is that I don't think there are enough group discussions during the whole program like MBA students usually do. And the time is too short.”
---------From Zhiyuming, member of Fudan Team in GNW Japan
Although we spent almost 10 days in Tokyo, we still found it not enough for us to experience life in Japan.
The GNW Tokyo Program, hosted by Hitotsubahi ICS, centered around the theme: "Innovation x Globalization: Japan Style." The purpose of the program is to help students see unique innovation & globalization challenges facing Japanese business and economy through exposure to a variety of corporate practices and market phenomena in Tokyo and Japan. Fifty students are from GNAM partner schools, including 13 from Hitotsubashi ICS。
The best part must be the field visit, such as direct observations of different - both traditional and cutting-edge - parts of Tokyo, experiences of Tokyo's rush hour train ride, Tour to Kamakura, the "Home of the Samurai."
All the Chinese students in GNW Japan (4 from Fudan, 3 from Renmin, 1 from Yale and 1 from ICS)
We can see the school has put in significant efforts in designing, structuring and executing the course - and overall we must say we are highly impressed and are ever so grateful to ICS for hosting us. In terms of areas of improvement, we would value more opportunities to interact with native Japanese students and faculty members over casual settings. From our experience Japanese are very reserved and we want to appreciate more what they really think by hearing their genuine opinions.

Koc University Graduate School of Business (Turkey) Team
We were excited when we got the GNW confirmation letter of study exchange with Kocuniversity in Istanbul,Turkey! Li Yuting, Li Fan and Zhang Fan, we 3 ladies started out on the fantastic journey in the mid night of Feb.28, we called it “Three macho girls‘ journey ”!
The program is a weekly study, with 37 MBA students from 5 business universities, when we joined together, we found the 37 students actually from almost 15 countries, a big international family!
The host university-Koc university prepare the weekly study under subject” From local to Global: Concepts, Frameworks and Analytical Tools to develop an Effective Global Strategy” by 4 means that MBA study usually used:
•     Lecture
•     Case study
•     Company visit
•     Team presentation
1st day’s Lecture was delivered by Professor Ahmet with quite sense of humor. By introduction of Turkey in its history, economy, finance, politics, Professor led us to experience a “Turkish discovery journey”, helping us better understand this country; connecting to the following days’ study, it provided good background understanding of Turkish company’s development, dilemma, strategy, etc.
The following 3 days cases study was more like open and international exchange among international students, some good ideas and experience/knowledge share inspired us to think in new aspects. On courses, the active communication among students impressed us deeply. People were strongly willing to express self- idea, propose for any questions.
What impressed us more is Team presentation. Whole class were mixed divided into several teams, with purpose to study together, and on the final day to deliver a team presentation as practice of management theory studied on courses. During presentation preparation process, what we learnt is not only the theory practice, but also efficient work, creative, team work, open mind, leadership, etc.
We enjoyed it and honored to take the GNW program.1 week study trip is short for us to experience more...

Yale School of Management (USA) Team
First Day, a good beginning
On the evening of March 2nd, we five students from Fudan University arrived at Yale University and joined in the informal icebreaking activity held in a bar before the formal class. It is the first time for us to meet other classmates from different countries in the GNW program. We were excited and a little bit anxious to know each other; however, the TAs form Yale SOM did a wonderful job to make all the classmates feel relaxed and comfortable.
Tuesday, wonderful campus tour and evening program
On the second day, before the formal class, there was a daily review of the previous day. Then Nathan Novemsky, the professor of marketing, gave us an excellent course on Problem Framing. We were made some funny tests. According to the test result, most of us were trapped into the pitfalls in approaching a complex situation and make a tough decision. We were puzzled how we were cheated and the professor taught us some techniques to avoid some common problems. In the afternoon the professor Nicholas C. Barberis gave us the overview of behavioral finance.
The 3rdDay, exciting company visit
The exciting company visit began from a very early morning on Wednesday.  It takes about 2 hours by train from New Haven to NYC.  More than 70 MBA students gathered together 5:30 am at Evans Hall to board Yale buses for Union Station.  Definitely it was not early for us to get up so early in the cold morning. When we arrived in Grand Central Terminal around half past 8, the company visits started from Hearst Corporation. Hearst is one of the nation's most diversified media and information companies.
Thursday, wish it will never end
Actually, Thursday was the last day of formal lecture, as Friday was the team working of presentation and closing. We did appreciate the interesting content arrangement in that day with “Framing and Choice Architecture” in the morning and “Influence and Persuasion” in the afternoon.
Last Day, the perfect closing
On the last day, it’s arranged to prepare the group presentation in the morning and present it in the afternoon. The total 70 students were split into 9 groups. We can feel that the selection of the presentation topic is really special. It is not necessarily same for each group. Each can select one topic or idea which they think most impressed or can be most helpful for the future works, and of course the topic should be taught in the before courses. And then the group members achieve an agreement on the topic.
The exchange program in Yale is really a fantastic experience for us. We are not willing to do our farewell. We all think that we will never forget it in our life.
