On 1st April, 2015, Fudan IMBA students were given an impressive lecture on Project Management Skills in Organizational Life by Professor Sikander Khan. Dr.Sikander khan is specialized in marketing at School of Business, Society, and Engineering, Malardalen University, Sweden.
The competence of managing a project is an essential skill in our career, especially for the IMBA students. Firstly, Professor Sikander Khan emphasized the purpose and specified the concepts of project management. Then, the professor summarized key issues for project management: what comes before a project life cycle; how to find possible projects; which projects are worth pursuing; who will be involved in a project; and what is process of managing a project. Moreover, since an effective project management contributes to strategic objectives, therefore, we should look at all the people involved in the project, ranging from stakeholders to the project board, and to the project team.
After the lecture, many students who remain interested in this filed discussed with Sikander Khan and expressed their appreciation in this practical lecture before which they have not yet realized the importance on how to manage a project. They are looking forward to the next lecture given by Professor .Sikander Khan.
