Endeavour to Upgrade Chinese Industries with 3D Printed Molds

Zhang Guoliang, Fudan IMBA alumnus from the Class of 2007, Founder and CEO of Lamo Technology, which is dedicated to the large-scale application of 3D printing to the molding industry.

Zhang’s studies at the Fudan IMBA Program allowed him to “become better at financial management than many professional accountants”, from which he has benefited so much in his two entrepreneurial experiences.

Meanwhile, with the expertise gained from his IMBA studies, Zhang has established scientific systems for the talent reserve plan, incentive mechanism, salary management, organizational development, etc. of his company, which has played an in dispensable role during its growth from a 16-person start-up to a thriving organization with over 100 employees.

So far Lamo Tech has filed nearly 40 utility models and patents. It has been supplying 3D printed molds for industries like daily chemicals packaging, 3C electronics, healthcare, automobiles and home appliances.

According to Zhang, integrating 3D printing technologies into the production process has the potential to fundamentally upgrade China's traditional manufacturing industries, achieving greater efficiency and paving the way for more drastic innovations.
